This means that up to 50 people, with physical distancing, will be able to attend funeral services, funeral-related commemorative events and post-funeral gatherings\/ wakes in regulated venues from the 26<sup>th<\/sup> April. Alcohol will be permitted at post-funeral gatherings, which is a change from the information communicated in our blog of 16<sup>th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The updated protection levels table published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/binaries\/content\/documents\/govscot\/publications\/advice-and-guidance\/2020\/10\/coronavirus-covid-19-protection-levels\/documents\/covid-19-protection-levels-summary-information-on-what-you-can-and-cannot-do\/covid-19-protection-levels-summary-information-on-what-you-can-and-cannot-do\/govscot%3Adocument\/COVID-19%2Bprotection%2Blevels%2B-%2Bsummary%2Binformation%2Bon%2Bwhat%2Byou%2Bcan%2Band%2Bcannot%2Bdo.pdf?forceDownload=true\">here<\/a> sets out the attendance limits for funerals at each of the protection levels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The First Minister\u2019s statement is available to read in full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-update-first-ministers-statement-13-april-2021\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If progress continues, we hope to move to level 2 on 17 May, to level 1 in early June, and to level 0 in late June.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government\u2019s guidance for funeral services, funeral directors, and burial and cremation authorities will be updated soon. As the COVID-19 restrictions ease, it remains important to follow\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-for-funeral-services\/pages\/funeral-service\/\">public health advice<\/a>\u00a0about maintaining 2 metre physical distancing, wearing a face covering, providing test and protect details, and ensuring good hand and cough hygiene.
