Following this the intention\u00a0is then to move beyond Level 0 on 9 August.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government will advise on the continued use of certain baseline protective measures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some of these baseline measures will be advisory, and some will be mandatory. We need to work with you in developing what these measures should be. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-strategic-framework-update-february-2021\/#:~:text=Overview%20This%20updated%20Strategic%20Framework%20sets%20out%20how,new%20and%20highly%20infectious%20strains%20of%20the%20virus\">Strategic Framework Update<\/a> provided a list of some of the baseline measures we expect to retain:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good hand hygiene and surface cleaning.<\/li>\n<li>Continued promotion of good ventilation.<\/li>\n<li>Requirement for face coverings in certain settings. At least for a period, we are likely to require the wearing of face coverings in certain settings &#8211; for example, shops and public transport.<\/li>\n<li>Continued compliance with Test and Protect, including self-isolation when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing\u00a0need for managing infections, including active surveillance.<\/li>\n<li>While we will work with business to support a phased return to office working from level 0 onwards, we will continue to encourage a greater degree of homeworking than pre Covid. Where this is possible and appropriate, it will not only assist with controlling transmission of the virus, but also promote wellbeing more generally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There may also be a short set of ongoing mandatory requirements for certain sectors\/settings for a period of time, such as:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requirement for face coverings in certain settings (e.g. public transport, retail, large events).<\/li>\n<li>Continued compliance with Test and Protect, including self-isolation when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing need to monitor and contain new variants, including active surveillance.<\/li>\n<li>Border controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>We would appreciate if you could provide feedback on the protective measures you would like to see in place as we move beyond level zero<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>We would also be grateful for the reasons\/justification for these<\/strong> <strong>measures, <u>AND <\/u><\/strong><strong>where and when you expect these measures to be in place<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To respond please email <a href=\"mailto:burialandcremation@gov.scot\">burialandcremation@gov.scot<\/a> with your responses, where they will be collated.
