{"id":788,"date":"2025-02-11T10:03:51","date_gmt":"2025-02-11T10:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/funeral-industry\/?p=788"},"modified":"2025-02-11T10:03:51","modified_gmt":"2025-02-11T10:03:51","slug":"new-burial-application-forms-published-on-the-scottish-government-website","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/funeral-industry\/2025\/02\/11\/new-burial-application-forms-published-on-the-scottish-government-website\/","title":{"rendered":"New Burial Application Forms Published on the Scottish Government Website"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Scottish Government has published new burial application forms, made under The Burial (Applications and Register) (Scotland) Regulations 2024 (\u201cthe Applications and Register Regulations\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These forms should be used for all applications submitted from the start of business on 1\u00a0March 2025. The new forms should not be submitted before this date. Up until the end of business on 28 February burial authorities will continue to accept old forms, even if the burial will not take place until after 1 March.\u00a0The key point is the date on which the application is received.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can access all of the new forms at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/burial-statutory-forms\/\">Burial: statutory forms &#8211; gov.scot<\/a>.
