The event, highlighted\u00a0 performances from the creative arts across Scotland, including \u201cThe Fridays\u201d, a music group from Hazelwood School in Glasgow; Indepen-dance, and also artists from \u201cProject Ability\u201d.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/integrating-reshaping-care\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/07\/fairsco128-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/integrating-reshaping-care\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2015\/07\/fairsco128-2-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/300;\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAt the event, Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health, said \u201c\u2026 our vision is that\u00a0<strong>every person<\/strong> in Scotland who has learning disabilities, has the right to live longer, healthier lives; be supported to <strong>Participate<\/strong> fully in all aspects of society; <strong>Prosper <\/strong>as individuals and be valued contributors to a <strong>Fair <\/strong>and equal Scotland.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This vision is highlighted in the refreshed delivery approach to Scotland\u2019s learning disabilities strategy \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/keystolife.info\/strategy\/\">The Keys to Life<\/a>. The delivery approach focuses on outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities, their families and carers and identifies four strategic outcomes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Healthy Life: People with learning disabilities enjoy the highest attainable standard of living, health and family life<\/li>\n<li>Choice and Control: People with learning disabilities are treated with dignity and respect, and protected from neglect, exploitation and abuse<\/li>\n<li>Independence: People with learning disabilities are able to live independently in the community with equal access to all aspects of society<\/li>\n<li>Active Citizenship: People with learning disabilities are able to participate in all aspects of community and society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Scottish Government has identified key themes and priorities for delivery in 2015-17 which relate to each of the strategic outcomes.
