{"id":1505,"date":"2015-08-28T09:58:39","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T09:58:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.scotland.gov.uk\/health-and-social-care-integration\/?p=1505"},"modified":"2015-08-28T09:58:39","modified_gmt":"2015-08-28T09:58:39","slug":"strengthening-the-links-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/health-social-care\/2015\/08\/28\/strengthening-the-links-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Strengthening the Links Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;Strengthening the Links&#8217; is a series of collaborative events that form a key part of the continuous learning and networking process about workforce issues arising as a result of the integration of health and social care.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth event in the\u00a0series, run by the \u00a0Scottish Government Health Workforce Directorate,\u00a0 will be held on<strong> 29 October in Edinburgh.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The overall purpose of the event is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To share valuable learning and experience both within and across sectors.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate peer support and networking around common workforce challenges and opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event brings together those responsible for strategic human resources across health and social care, including representatives from the third and independent sectors and staff side partners \u2013 recognising that stakeholders need to be involved in discussions to enable the delivery of effective integrated services.<\/p>\n<p>Building on from previous events, October\u2019s theme is <strong>Progress Towards Integration<\/strong><em>, <\/em>offering attendees opportunities for interactive discussion and reflection around the practical aspects of integration with opportunities to learn from, and network with, others.<\/p>\n<p>The programme includes a mix of presentations, workshops and interactive discussions with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perspectives on how we are moving from policy to reality<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to hear from those who have been there and done it<\/li>\n<li>Reflections from frontline staff on how it feels for them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To register for a place, contact <a href=\"mailto:charles.laing@scotland.gsi.gov.uk\">charles.laing@scotland.gsi.gov.uk<\/a> 0131 244 2029 \u00a0or <a href=\"mailto:diane.strachan@scotland.gsi.gov.uk\">diane.strachan@scotland.gsi.gov.uk<\/a> \u00a00131 244 5079, both in \u00a0the Scottish Government Health Workforce Directorate<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;Strengthening the Links&#8217; is a series of collaborative events that form a key part of the continuous learning and networking process about workforce issues arising as a result of the integration of health and social care.
