Electronic Monitoring in Scotland Consultation

May 5, 2017 by No Comments | Category Uncategorized

On 2 March this year we launched our consultation on proposals for legislation to expand the use of electronic monitoring. The consultation follows recommendations from the Electronic Monitoring Working Group which published its report in October 2016.

The consultation paper describes what legislative changes might be required to take forward some proposals of the Working Group and seeks views in relation to these.

The recommendations of the Working Group were broadly constructed and we are therefore keen to hear from all those with a view – particularly experienced practitioners – in relation to the viability, benefits or consequences of these proposals.
