Making Maths Count

Involving parents in numeracy and maths learning

March 16, 2018 by 1 Comment | Category Uncategorized

There is so much creative and innovative practice going on in early learning centres, schools and communities to engage parents in their child’s numeracy and maths learning. Here is a snapshot from the last couple of months.

  • Tom Renwick says:

180 parents at a numeracy talk last Thursday evening, and they all received a Numeracy Map + training to help their children if they wished at home with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages. All classrooms in the school (Kinnaird PS, Larbert) also have a large Numeracy Map on their wall, so, potentially very good synergy between the classroom and the living room.
