{"id":10736,"date":"2020-02-24T10:40:32","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T10:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/marine-scotland\/?p=10736"},"modified":"2020-02-24T10:27:58","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T10:27:58","slug":"new-blue-carbon-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/marine-scotland\/2020\/02\/24\/new-blue-carbon-reports\/","title":{"rendered":"New Blue Carbon Resource for Marine Scientists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two new science reports have been published today by Marine Scotland Science (MSS) that will be used to improve our understanding and management of Blue Carbon; carbon found stored beneath the sea in sediment, shells and living plants.<\/p>\n<p>One is a collaborative project with University of St Andrews <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.7489\/12267-1\">&#8216;Re-Evaluating Scotland\u2019s Sedimentary Carbon Stocks&#8217;<\/a> and the other authored solely by MSS <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.7489\/12261-1\">&#8216;A Compendium of Marine Related Carbon Stores, Sequestrations and Emissions&#8217;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Using up to date information is important for all marine scientists working in the field of Blue Carbon.
