Reporting on the state of the environment identifies the challenges we face and what is being done to solve any problems. It provides an invaluable source of information for all those interested and involved in protecting and improving the quality of the environment we live in.<\/p>\n<p>At the conference,\u00a0the findings of the <a title=\"European Environment - State and Outlook 2015\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eea.europa.eu\/publications\/the-european-environment-state-and\/at_download\/file\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European environment \u2013 state and outlook 2015<\/a>, published by the European Environment Agency on 4th March, will be considered. The report will help\u00a0to understand the challenges facing Europe, and you can provide feedback at the event on how they should be tackled.<\/p>\n<p>Closer to home,\u00a0the conference will focus on <a title=\"Get Informed\" href=\"\/get-informed\/\">Scotland\u2019s state of the environment report<\/a> &#8211; hearing from the Editorial Group about the process of producing a report that involved some of the country\u2019s leading experts and its key findings.<\/p>\n<p>Having access to data and information about the environment is essential to raise awareness, improve understanding, influence decisions and policy making, and change behaviours.
