Temora in New South Wales in Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\nWhile researching their holiday in Scotland on the internet, they had somehow come across the name of the Temora and were intrigued. So they decided to stop off in Stonehaven and see why someone had called a catamaran after the town they live near in Australia.<\/p>\n
I explained to them that in fact the vessel was a research vessel and was actually named after the one of the more common copepods we find in our plankton samples off Stonehaven \u201cTemora longicornus<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\nWe showed them pictures of the copepod and they in turn took pictures of us and the vessel, and they noted down the website address, as I promised to put a piece on the coastal blog.<\/p>\n
