Last week Danny and three of his colleagues continued the clean-up by arranging for a fish tub, large fender and fridge unit to be removed from the shore. The team was also helped out by the daughter of one of our scientists, who got involved as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0So the totals to date have now gone up to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Bottles and cans recycled total = <strong>4,432<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Full bin-bags of waste total = <strong>191 <\/strong>and<\/li>\n<li>* Person effort, in minutes, collecting = <strong>15,285 (255 hrs)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/marine-scotland\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/02\/Clean-up-MS-colleagues-Feb16.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4798 alignleft lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/marine-scotland\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/02\/Clean-up-MS-colleagues-Feb16-300x259.jpg\" alt=\"Clean-up - MS colleagues Feb16\" width=\"300\" height=\"259\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/259;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Marine Scotland colleagues will also be getting involved with various clean-up campaigns during the year as part of the \u2018Clean Up Aberdeen\u2019 initiative; part of Keep Scotland Beautiful\u2019s national campaign \u2018Clean Up Scotland\u2019.
