{"id":1845,"date":"2016-03-23T17:33:57","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T17:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.scotland.gov.uk\/planningarchitecture\/?p=1845"},"modified":"2018-02-20T14:50:54","modified_gmt":"2018-02-20T14:50:54","slug":"upcoming-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/planning-architecture\/2016\/03\/23\/upcoming-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Upcoming Planning &#038; Architecture News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 24th March there are restrictions on communication until after May 5, Scottish Parliament\u00a0Election\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/ow.ly\/Y4l9R\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AEcc45Jipx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"color: #3b94d9;\">http:\/\/ow.ly\/Y4l9R\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of our upcoming changes and projects during this pre-election period.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are seeking comments\u00a0on our Draft Planning Delivery Advice: Housing and Infrastructure by\u00a0<strong>March 31, 2016 to <a href=\"mailto:deliveryadvice@gov.scot\">deliveryadvice@gov.scot<\/a><\/strong>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>This draft advice has been issued in order to allow for further discussion and comment from all those with an interest in housing and infrastructure.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b2\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">PAN 2\/2010: Affordable Housing and Housing Land Audits<\/span><\/a> remains in place until the draft advice has been finalised.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1f6ba6\">Circular 1\/2012 Guidance on Householder Permitted Development Rights<\/a> will be available from 24 March 2016 to reflect changes in domestic permitted development rights for air source heat pumps<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1f6ba6\">The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2016<\/a>\u00a0will be available shortly.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b4\">Revised circular 2\/2003<\/a> on safeguarding has been published today. It includes a new Direction which reflects changes primarily pertaining to Meteorological Technical Sites.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b5\"><strong>Draft Advice on Net Economic Benefit and Planning<\/strong><\/a> was published on 22 March 2016. The advice has been published in draft form to allow an opportunity for stakeholders to consider and to offer comments. Please submit any comments to <a href=\"mailto:Chief.Planner@gov.scot\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Chief.Planner@gov.scot<\/span><\/a> by Friday 20th May 2016.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1f77db\">6th Annual report on the Operation of Section 72 of the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009<\/a> was laid before the Scottish Parliament on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> March and published today.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b6\"><strong>Review of Planning &#8211; KMA report published<\/strong><\/a>. The report can be viewed on the <a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b6\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">review of planning webpage<\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd4e5\">Enterprise areas Mid-point Evaluation flags success of Planning Protocol<\/a>:\u00a0A review of Enterprise areas in Scotland by Highlands and Islands Enterprise has found that the measures to streamline planning procedures within Enterprise Areas have been successful and we would like to congratulate those planning authorities hosting enterprise areas on this achievement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Forums &#8211; Atlantic Quay, Glasgow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/Topics\/Environment\/environmental-assessment\/sea\/national-forum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEA\/HRA forum<\/a> is taking place on 28th April 2016 #SEAHRASForum.<br \/>\nDevelopment Plan Forum 2016 is taking place on 29th April #DPForum2016<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consultation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b7\">APD \/ SEA consultation<\/a>. In addition to the recently launched consultation on a replacement to Air Passenger Duty, consultation has also launched on the SEA Screening and Scoping report. Views and submissions are welcomed through the <a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b8\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">consultation page<\/span><\/a> or on the <a href=\"http:\/\/register.scotland.gov.uk\/s\/1fd9b7\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">online discussion forum<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAQP 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SAQP Awards are now open for entries.<\/p>\n<p>This year we&#8217;re delighted to announce that the SAQP has been streamlined and enhanced with the introduction of two new exciting Awards.
