The Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning are one of the Government\u2019s most prestigious awards. They celebrate achievements in planning, right from the detail of processing through to the bigger picture of creating places which will become the legacy of our professionalism.<\/p>\n

With 2018 being the Year of Young People, we introduced a fifth category for SAQP 2018. The full list of categories are:<\/p>\n

  1. Children and Young People<\/li>\n
  2. Partnership<\/li>\n
  3. Place<\/li>\n
  4. Plans<\/li>\n
  5. Process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We received over 50 applications across the five categories, you can see all the applications which were shortlisted by the judges on our interactive map<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    In addition to the SAQP Awards for projects, the Scottish Government also has two linked Awards \u2013 one for Personal Achievement in Planning and the other is the People\u2019s Choice in Planning.<\/p>\n

    Personal Achievement in Planning Award (PAPA)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    This Award is to recognise an individual person, team, local authorities, consultants, community groups, developers, public agencies plus volunteers and voluntary organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to planning. This can be for their contribution to a particular project or for lifetime recognition of commitment to the industry.<\/p>\n
