The recording is now available for the ‘Open Supplier Event for the National Civil Engineering Framework’ which took place on 27 January 2022.
Today (4 March) is World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED). This is an official International day proclaimed in 2019 by United Nationals Educations, Scientific and Cultural Organisations (UNESCO).
On 27 January, we hosted an Open Supplier Meeting for the future National Civil Engineering Framework (for Works & Associated Services, including Roads & Roads Maintenance). The event was well attended by potential suppliers with good discussion about getting involved in the new collaborative construction framework.
The event was opened by Nick Ford, Director of Scottish Procurement and Property. Other speakers included:
- Morag Angus, Head of Property and Construction and Chief Surveyor for Scotland
- Graham Porteous, Head of the Scottish Government Construction Procurement Policy Unit
- Colin Bell and Brendan Little from the Scottish Government’s Collaborative Construction Team
- Jamie Kennedy from Transport Scotland
- Robert Ogg from Robertson
- Alistair Kerr, British Association of Supported Employment (BASE) outlined what Supported Businesses can offer and
- Gillian Cameron, Supplier Development Programme on how they can assist Scottish SMEs
Below is the Supplier Development Programme’s recording of the event for those who were unable to attend:
