Construction Capability Assessment Tool: CPN 1/2022
March 23, 2022 by Fiona McCaig No Comments | Category Construction, Construction Policy Notes, Scottish Procurement
We have published a new Construction Policy Note highlighting the launch of the Construction Capability Assessment Tool (CCAT).
This note is for all public contracting authorities that procure construction projects, whether occasionally or frequently.
The key message within this CPN is to highlight the newly launched CCAT. It is a self-assessment tool to provide public contracting authorities with assistance in understanding their organisation’s capability and capacity to deliver construction projects. It is designed as a questionnaire to help organisations understand the size and complexity of projects that they are capable of delivering. It also helps organisations understand if any additional resource or expertise might be required within their current organisational set up.
It must be noted that the completion of the CCAT is not a requirement, however it is recommended to be used by public contracting authorities. It is not required or expected to be returned to the Construction Procurement Policy Unit.
