Help shape the future of Fair Work First

November 4, 2025 by No Comments | Category Fair Work First, Scottish Procurement

Fair Work First is Scottish Government’s leading initiative to promote fair and high-quality working practices. It encourages public sector buyers to apply fair work criteria such as paying at least the real Living Wage and ensuring workers have a meaningful voice as part of procurement processes.

To understand how effectively Fair Work First is being implemented, Scottish Government have commissioned independent researchers, Pye Tait Consulting, to carry out an evaluation. This research will explore what’s working well, what could be improved, and how the policy is impacting organisations and workers across Scotland.

We want to hear from you

We would like to invite public sector organisations in Scotland who procure services from third-party suppliers to complete a short online survey to share your experiences.

Your response will go directly to Pye Tait Consulting, will be treated confidentially, and reported anonymously to Scottish Government. The survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and will remain open until 23 January 2026.

Share your experience and help improve fair working practices across Scotland.
