{"id":1186,"date":"2019-06-13T14:38:51","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T13:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=1186"},"modified":"2019-06-13T14:41:39","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T13:41:39","slug":"procurement-journey-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2019\/06\/13\/procurement-journey-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Procurement Journey update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A national survey and a user testing exercise was completed in early 2019 with a view to identifying areas of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.procurementjourney.scot\/ir35\">Procurement Journey<\/a> that could be improved. The survey ran from 1 March 2019 and closed on\u00a0 22 March 2019, receiving 360 responses.<\/p>\n<p>The survey found that although 86% of respondents said the Procurement Journey guidance meets their current needs, a number of areas for improvement were identified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Room for improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Areas identified for improvement include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All tools, templates and documents being improved and updated<\/li>\n<li>Improved functionality, including search function and navigation<\/li>\n<li>Improved page composition and document access<\/li>\n<li>Inclusion of best practice construction and sustainability guidance<\/li>\n<li>Inclusion of best practice guidance on the public procurement of innovation<\/li>\n<li>Improved dynamic purchasing system guidance<\/li>\n<li>Refresh old contract management guidance across all routes<\/li>\n<li>Guidance videos<\/li>\n<li>Guidance presentations<\/li>\n<li>Checklists<\/li>\n<li>Case studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A phased approach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response to the survey findings, an improvement exercise has been planned for 2019-20, which will be delivered in a phased approach.
