{"id":1232,"date":"2019-07-08T11:39:18","date_gmt":"2019-07-08T10:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=1232"},"modified":"2019-07-08T11:39:18","modified_gmt":"2019-07-08T10:39:18","slug":"ojeu-contract-notice-to-establish-a-dynamic-purchasing-system-for-internet-of-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2019\/07\/08\/ojeu-contract-notice-to-establish-a-dynamic-purchasing-system-for-internet-of-things\/","title":{"rendered":"OJEU contract notice to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System for Internet of Things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Building on the success of our current DPS arrangements, Scottish Procurement has issued an OJEU <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk\/search\/show\/search_view.aspx?ID=JUL359513\">contract notice<\/a> to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System for Internet of Things (IoT). This DPS will give the Scottish public sector access to a wide range of innovative IoT suppliers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is IoT?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IoT is an exciting new technology that can collect and exchange digital data to create value. It collects information from physical objects (things) via sensors and network connectivity. Computer programs and analytics can help make sense of the data, allowing timely decisions and actions to be taken. The scope of the DPS will allow procurement of a wide range of IoT technologies and services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information for suppliers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any supplier can apply to join the DPS as long as they meet the minimum entry criteria.<\/p>\n<p>There is no limit to the number of suppliers that can participate in the DPS, and they can apply to join at any time during its life.
