The annual Scotland Excel conference<\/a> is taking place on 20 and 21 February at the Radisson Blu hotel, Glasgow. This year\u2019s theme is inclusive growth<\/a> and what local organisations can do to support this agenda.<\/p>\n

Discussions will be around Community Benefits, Fair Work and spending locally to benefit local and wider communities, and how we in procurement can play our part.<\/p>\n

It is a specific aim of the conference to foster a better mutual understanding between procurement and economic development teams about the levers they each have available to support inclusive growth.<\/p>\n

There is a full agenda<\/a> for both days. The packed schedule includes a keynote speech from Dr Gary Gillespie, Scottish Government\u2019s Chief Economic Adviser who will be talking about the government\u2019s latest thinking on inclusive growth and wellbeing.<\/p>\n
