Participants also saw a demonstration of the web based Flexible Framework. Thank you to everyone who attended the workshops, your input was invaluable.<\/p>\n<p>Since November, we have been busy developing and testing the Prioritisation Tool and Sustainability Test:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Flexible Framework, Prioritisation Tool, Sustainability Test and supporting sustainable procurement guidance are now hosted on a single platform.<\/li>\n<li>Ease of use was a main consideration for development &#8211; all the tools have a similar look and feel. The guidance for practical application of sustainable procurement can be more easily accessed and referenced.<\/li>\n<li>At the moment, functionality and content of the tools are largely unchanged.<\/li>\n<li>Users will be required to register and log in to access the tools. This is necessary so users can be associated with their organisation \u2013 there will be a main user for each organisation who has extra permissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Restart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We understand that people will be under pressure to manage COVID-19 related procurement issues, and do not wish to add to this. As referenced in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-making-best-use-of-procurement-resources-during-covid-19-outbreak-sppn-6-2020\/\">SPPN 06\/2020<\/a>, we hope that using the prioritisation tool and other sustainable procurement duty tools will form a helpful part of restarting activities. We would urge you to consider using the tools to assist early stage strategic planning. This will help embed relevant and proportionate sustainability requirements in the development of frameworks and contracts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainable procurement tools and guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The platform for the sustainable procurement tools can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainableprocurementtools.scot\/\">here<\/a>. The supporting sustainable procurement guidance has been relocated from the Scottish Government website and is available on the platform with the tools. It is not necessary to register and log in to access the guidance which can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainableprocurementtools.scot\/index.cfm\/guidance\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate that this will not be a priority at the moment but we welcome your feedback on all the tools. We&#8217;re particularly interested in any technical suggestions at the moment. We will focus on content at a later date.
