This is the fourth generation of the framework and replaces the previous Office Equipment agreement. Organisations are able to enter into a further competition with the Contractors on the framework or buy via a direct buy route.<\/p>\n<p>The framework is open to all Scottish public sector bodies, including third sector and provides organisations. This gives an easy and compliant route to market for a wide portfolio of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>multifunctional devices (MFDs)<\/li>\n<li>a range of peripherals and consumables (except paper)<\/li>\n<li>Managed Print Service (MPS) partnerships which can deliver reduced print costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of the framework, you can audit your current print estate and identify areas where you can rationalise the number of devices. This can help relieve pressure on ICT resources, reduce print volumes and the environmental impact.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Environment<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The framework will continue to support the reduction in total print volumes and devices across the public sector through the use of innovative software and solutions. Improvements in workflow processes supports the rationalisation of devices leading to reduction in reduced energy consumption, toner usage and reducing the overall waste sent to landfill.<\/p>\n<p>Framework products are EPEAT and Energy Star certified and meet or exceed minimum energy efficiency standards to minimise their overall environmental impact, ensuring compliance with all Waste Electrical and Electronic Directives (WEEE) and data security requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Framework Contractors all support the transition to a circular economy through end of life initiatives to recover, refurbish and redeploy equipment and support Scottish Government\u2019s sustainability objectives and targets. Suppliers are also committed to extending the useful life of devices and minimising the environmental impact of products by ensuring spare parts are available for 7 years from the date the product is withdrawn from production. For remanufactured or refurbished devices, Contractors will ensure all parts, options and accessories are available for at least five (5) years after remanufacture of the device.<\/p>\n<p>Our ICT Products Team will continue the Sustainability Balanced Scorecards to identify our suppliers\u2019 environmental initiatives and all of our framework devices meet or exceed the minimum Energy Star efficiency standards.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Supply chain<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>All Contractors have significant Scottish presence, national engineering coverage, and dedicated account managers for Scottish public sector. Scottish SMEs are involved throughout the supply chain in various sub-contracting roles and all prime and sub-contractors are geographically dispersed across Scotland. Contractors are committed to delivering community benefits, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>employment opportunities in Scotland<\/li>\n<li>work experience<\/li>\n<li>apprenticeships and graduate schemes<\/li>\n<li>outreach initiatives<\/li>\n<li>mentoring opportunities<\/li>\n<li>SMEs advice and support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A buyer\u2019s guide and FAQ document is available from the secure stakeholder group \u201cScottish Procurement Information Network\u201d in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/khub.net\/\">Knowledge Hub<\/a>.
