{"id":4546,"date":"2023-01-31T10:36:29","date_gmt":"2023-01-31T10:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=4546"},"modified":"2023-01-31T10:36:41","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T10:36:41","slug":"delivery-partner-for-cashback-for-communities-contract-notice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2023\/01\/31\/delivery-partner-for-cashback-for-communities-contract-notice\/","title":{"rendered":"Delivery Partner for Cashback for Communities Contract Notice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/news\/gbp-20-million-in-crime-proceeds-to-fund-community-projects\/\">June 2022, it was announced that community projects are set to receive up to \u00a320 million over the next three years<\/a> to continue supporting young people and communities most affected by crime.<\/p>\n<p>Since the programme began in 2008, <a href=\"https:\/\/cashbackforcommunities.org\/\">Cashback for Communities<\/a> has taken funds recovered through the Proceeds of Crime Act and provided crucial support to around 1.3 million young people across all local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Cashback has funded a wide variety of projects over the past 14 years including sports, arts, youth work and employability which provide extensive opportunities to raise the ambition and aspirations of young people.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cashbackforcommunities.org\/phase6\/\">latest phase of funding<\/a> will guide those most at risk of being impacted by crime, to more positive destinations while also helping young people to improve their physical and mental health.<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/about\/how-government-is-run\/directorates\/safer-communities\/\">Directorate for Safer Communities<\/a> requires a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to perform the role of Delivery Partner in relation to the CashBack for Communities Programme.<\/p>\n<p>They are looking to appoint a contractor to provide expert support to individual third-party organisations who are in receipt of grant funds through Phase 6 of the CashBack for Communities Programme. The purpose of the support is to ensure that Project Partners fulfil their grant requirements and responsibilities on accountability, communications, monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting.
