{"id":4829,"date":"2023-04-13T15:26:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-13T14:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=4829"},"modified":"2023-04-17T11:49:52","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T10:49:52","slug":"mobile-voice-and-data-services-framework-awarded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2023\/04\/13\/mobile-voice-and-data-services-framework-awarded\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobile Voice and Data Services Framework Awarded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the successful conclusion of the standstill period, Scottish Procurement is pleased to announce that the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Generation Mobile Voice and Data Services framework agreement has been awarded to Vodafone Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>The framework agreement will continue as a single supplier direct award arrangement.\u00a0 This will provide Scottish public sector organisations with excellent tariffs across a range of voice, data and additional services. As the framework remains with the previous provider, public sector bodies can seamlessly migrate to the new tariffs at the appropriate time.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"2nd Generation Mobile Voice and Data Framework agreement\" data-src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/815030267?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The framework will deliver the following benefits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent value for money achieved with average savings of between 50-60% on core voice and data services against previous framework rates<\/li>\n<li>Free of charge device wiping, disposal and recycling service<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take UK voice and data allowance when travelling overseas<\/li>\n<li>Good levels of national mobile coverage with network improvements planned over the duration of the framework and where there is no suitable Vodafone network coverage, optional use of alternative networks may be provided<\/li>\n<li>Access to the emerging mobile Internet of Things and 5G services<\/li>\n<li>Contracting with an accredited Real Living Wage employer who also provide wider benefits in terms of fair work, social, environmental and community benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The framework will be for an initial period of 36 months, commencing on 15 April 2023, with the option to extend for a further 12 months giving a maximum framework duration of 4 years. It should be noted that Vodafone may take up to 8 weeks to build the new framework tariffs and mobile voice and data services cannot be delivered until this is complete. However, during this period, call-off contracts can be agreed and signed and preparations can be made to agree the migration process.<\/p>\n<p>Call-off contracts will be for a minimum duration of 24 months and a maximum of 48 months with the flexibility to remove or add individual connections.<\/p>\n<p>Further information including a buyer guide is available on our <a
