With just one month to go until Meet the Buyer North, now is the perfect time to plan your visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meet the Buyer North 2023<\/a>, on Tuesday 12 September 2023 at the Music Halls in Aberdeen, is set to bring Scotland\u2019s public and private sectors together under one roof, in the North of Scotland, for one day only.<\/p>\n

With a fantastic range of exhibitors to visit and speaker presentations to entice you, there is plenty you can do in advance to prepare to make your visit profitable, no matter what size your organisation is!<\/p>\n

  1. Do your homework! Look at the Buyers listed on the\u00a0Meet the Buyer North event page<\/a> and consider who you would like to meet. Once you have a list of buyers you would like to meet, go to their websites, read their contract procurement reports, and have a look at their contract registers to see if they are a good fit for your business. SDP\u2019s guide to\u00a0\u201cWho buys what in Scotland?<\/a>\u201d\u00a0is a good starting point.<\/li>\n
  2. Prepare an informal verbal introduction of your business and what you can provide or supply to the public sector. Open the discussion with your company name, where your business is located, and what your business does.<\/li>\n
  3. Prepare a list of questions for buyers.<\/li>\n
  4. Prepare your contact information in advance! When you connect with a Buyer or another supplier on the day, you’ll want to exchange your contact information. This year, we will be utilising an app to help you exchange contact details with all your new connections.<\/li>\n
  5. Plan your arrival. With over 400 attendees already registered, we anticipate Meet the Buyer North 2023 to be our busiest yet! To reduce queues and waiting times, we will be introducing a \u2018Fast Track\u2019 entry, allowing suppliers to print their passes off at home.<\/li>\n
  6. On the day, join the queues at the exhibition stands and gather Buyers’ leaflets, flyers, and information.<\/li>\n
  7. Make a point to connect with other suppliers. You never know, they could become your next customer!<\/li>\n
  8. And finally, now that you have found out all you need to know about future public sector contracts, brush up on your tendering skills with the Supplier Development Programme’s free training!
