{"id":5202,"date":"2023-08-22T08:46:24","date_gmt":"2023-08-22T07:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=5202"},"modified":"2023-08-22T08:46:24","modified_gmt":"2023-08-22T07:46:24","slug":"unlocking-procurement-event-with-social-enterprise-scotland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2023\/08\/22\/unlocking-procurement-event-with-social-enterprise-scotland\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Unlocking Procurement\u2019 event with Social Enterprise Scotland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">As set out in our recently published <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/public-procurement-strategy-scotland-2023-2028\/documents\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Public Procurement Strategy for Scotland<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, the Scottish Government and wider public sector has a long-standing commitment to SME engagement, which is embedded in Scottish procurement legislation and sustainable approaches.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To raise awareness of the strategy publication, we have been taking part in a number of engagement activities in recent months including meeting with the public procurement Heads of Procurement and will soon be presenting at the CIPFA Finance Directors meeting.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On 29<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> August 2023 we are participating in an \u2018Unlocking Procurement\u2019 event with Social Enterprise Scotland and Just Enterprise. The purpose of this free, hour-long event is for social enterprises to find out more about new and important developments in public procurement and support available.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2018Unlocking Procurement\u2019 is the first in a series of events around procurement opportunities for social enterprises.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a
