The Scottish Government is seeking views on plans to enshrine international human rights \u2013 including the right to health and an adequate standard of living \u2013 into Scots law for the first time.<\/p>\n
Proposals look to reduce inequality and would place a broader range of human rights at the centre of how Scotland\u2019s frontline public services are delivered. Proposals would place duties on those delivering devolved public functions, and expect private organisations delivering devolved public services, or suppliers providing services under a contract with a public body, to give effect to and realise the rights for the people of Scotland.<\/p>\n
