Business Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) now live"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A public body is able to reserve contracts to Supported Businesses whose main aim is the social and professional integration of disabled or disadvantaged persons, and where at least 30% of the employees are disabled or disadvantaged persons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/procurement-requirements-reserved-for-supported-businesses-dynamic-purchasing-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The new Scottish national dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for the provision of requirements reserved for supported businesses is now live (7 September 2023).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The key aim of this DPS is to provide Scottish public sector and third sector bodies (DPS public bodies) with a clear path for the purchase of goods and services from supported businesses and in doing so, support the integration of disabled and disadvantaged citizens into the mainstream workforce.<\/p>\n<p>This DPS helps ensure the public sector bodies meet the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/asp\/2014\/12\/section\/9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sustainable procurement duty<\/a>\u00a0that requires that before a contracting authority buys anything, it must think about how it can improve the social, environmental and economic wellbeing of the area in which it operates, with a particular focus on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/policies\/public-sector-procurement\/procurement-equality-duties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reducing inequality<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits of the service include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access to a wide range of supported business suppliers<\/li>\n<li>easy access for suppliers, encouraging competition and SME participation<\/li>\n<li>suppliers can join the DPS at any time, provided they meet the minimum selection criteria<\/li>\n<li>completely electronic process<\/li>\n<li>streamlined procurement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please forward enquiries about the DPS
