We have published a new Scottish Procurement Policy Note (SPPN) on changes to Scottish procurement legislation following the Republic of North Macedonia\u2019s accession to the Agreement on Government Procurement: SPPN 4\/2023.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

On the 30 October 2023, the Republic of North Macedonia will join the World Trade Organisation\u2019s Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA), alongside 21 other members including the UK.<\/p>\n

From this date, public bodies in Scotland will be required to treat bidders from the Republic of North Macedonia equally to bidders from the UK in their procurements covered by the UK\u2019s Appendix 1 to the GPA.<\/a><\/p>\n
