The Tool has been developed in partnership with industry and public bodies to provide a centrally co-ordinated repository for recording where and when future construction work is likely to be conducted by the public sector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These provisions are required for all public bodies that procure construction projects, whether occasionally or frequently. It is applicable guidance under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/scottish-public-finance-manual\/\">Scottish Public Finance Manual<\/a>. Other public bodies are strongly encouraged to also follow these provisions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Tool<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Tool is operated by the Scottish Futures Trust. It provides a national forecast of construction projects and is enabled through the submission of data to the pipeline by public bodies. The data is consolidated and published through interactive dashboards where projects can be searched by value, sector, public body and geography.<\/p>\n<p>Public bodies are encouraged to submit details of their proposed projects as early as possible to the <a href=\"https:\/\/pipeline.scottishfuturestrust.org.uk\/members\/submit-data\/\">upload page<\/a> when there is a likelihood of a project being conducted. It does not replace the legal requirement for public bodies in scope of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/asp\/2014\/12\">Procurement Reform Act 2014<\/a> to publish a summary of the regulated procurements expected to commence in the next two financial years.<\/p>\n<p>You can find further information here: <a
