The Client Guide to Construction Projects has been updated to incorporate Construction Policy Note (CPN) 1\/2024 in Chapter 17<\/a> of Handbook 1.<\/p>\n

We are pleased to announce that the directory we promised to create of public bodies\u2019 retention policy and compliance reports is also now open and ready to receive contributions from all contracting authorities operating on the mainland and islands of Scotland. It is located at paragraph 14 at the end of Chapter 17 and will populate over time.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, CPN 1\/2024<\/a> required contracting authorities to publish a retention policy statement on their website by 31\u00a0August\u00a02024. The directory is a gateway to all those we receive, all in one place, and will help make retention use in Scotland more transparent for public bodies and contactors alike.<\/p>\n

The directory will also contain links to contracting authorities\u2019 published retention policy compliance statements from 20\u00a0February\u00a02025. Clearly that is still some way off and we will post a reminder on this channel nearer the time.<\/p>\n
