{"id":6223,"date":"2025-09-11T10:44:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T09:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/?p=6223"},"modified":"2025-09-11T10:46:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T09:46:35","slug":"find-your-next-business-opportunity-at-meet-the-buyer-south-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/public-procurement\/2025\/09\/11\/find-your-next-business-opportunity-at-meet-the-buyer-south-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Find your next business opportunity at Meet the Buyer South 2025!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) is set to host the fourth annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdpscotland.co.uk\/events\/meet-the-buyer-south-2025-1899\/\"><strong>Meet the Buyer South event<\/strong><\/a> on <strong>Wednesday 8 October at The Tait Hall, Kelso<\/strong>.\u00a0This free event offers suppliers the chance to introduce their business to decision-makers from across the region, all under one roof.<\/p>\n<p>Delivered in partnership with East Lothian Council, Midlothian Council, Scottish Borders Council, and South of Scotland Enterprise, this networking event connects suppliers with public and private sector buyers, helping them discover upcoming contracts and opportunities across the South East of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the event partners, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with key buyers and decision-makers from Borders College, Eildon Housing Association, McTaggart Construction, Morrison Construction, Scotland Excel, Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA), Scottish Government, SP Energy Networks, Transport Scotland, Waverley Housing Association, and more.<\/p>\n<p>On the day, suppliers will also have the chance to meet representatives from Business Gateway, South of Scotland Enterprise, and the Supplier Development Programme, and learn about the support available to help local businesses grow and compete for contracts.<\/p>\n<p>This event is designed to support micro, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as third sector organisations and social enterprises in the South of Scotland, to engage with public sector opportunities. However, businesses of all sizes are welcome to attend Meet the Buyer South.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book now!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over 350 suppliers have already registered to attend Meet the Buyer South 2025 in Kelso. It is a must-attend event for businesses of all sizes, based in the South of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Attendance is free. However, you must register in advance through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdpscotland.co.uk\/events\/meet-the-buyer-south-2025-1899\/\">the SDP website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>For further information on
