The aim is to encourage customers to adopt cloud, simplify pricing and help customers understand the cost advantages of cloud computing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does this mean for the Scottish public sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the Scottish public sector this means the base costs of some products will increase. During this time Microsoft are also taking the opportunity to correct some of the offerings for the public sector which will have another impact on cost.<\/p>\n<p>Softcat are working with Miscrosoft to apply these changes for Scottish public sector customers. As part of the changes a discount\/reduction has been agreed before the increase in September 2018 until the end of December 2018 for qualifying contracts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impact of changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These changes will impact you if you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a public sector customer with an Enterprise agreement, with on premise products, expiring before 30 June 2019<\/li>\n<li>a public sector customer with an Enterprise agreement, with both cloud and on-premise products, expiring before 30 June 2019<\/li>\n<li>a public sector customer with an Enterprise agreement, on premise or cloud, expiring after 30 June 2019<\/li>\n<li>a public sector customer with no Enterprise agreement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Webinar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Softcat are running a 30 minute webinar on Monday 8 October 2018 at 10.30 am for the public sector to discuss the changes.
