{"id":1113,"date":"2019-05-17T13:37:07","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T12:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/rural-environment\/?p=1113"},"modified":"2019-05-17T13:37:07","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T12:37:07","slug":"this-week-17-05-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gov.scot\/rural-environment\/2019\/05\/17\/this-week-17-05-19\/","title":{"rendered":"This week: 17\/05\/19"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Supporting Scotland&#8217;s produce<\/h3>\n<p>Funding has been granted to initiatives across Scotland to help celebrate Scotland\u2019s regional food and drink industries.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 23 projects will share \u00a3104,500 awarded via the Connect Local Regional Food Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Grant recipients include the Annan Harbour Festival, the Glenkens Food Month, and the Skye Food and Drink Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the awards, Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProviding funding to regional projects is just one of the ways we are supporting the industry\u2019s ambition to raise the value of Scotland\u2019s food and drink sector by 2030 to \u00a330 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese grants are being provided in order to stimulate the growth of these great local food initiatives, and encourage more people to appreciate and enjoy our amazing local produce.
