The funding will support snowsports centres that have been forced to close due to Level 4 restrictions to curtail the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSnowsports centres are critical to Scotland\u2019s rural economy, worth an estimated \u00a330 million and providing over 600 jobs in some of our most remote areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m pleased to announce an additional \u00a31 million has now been added to make up the \u00a33 million fund. The funding will protect these businesses who are currently losing vast amounts of income due to be being closed as part of the measures taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
