Cyber Scotland Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Cyber Scotland Week draws together events across Scotland to showcase the innovation taking place across the sector, raise awareness of good cyber resilience practice and promote careers within the industry.<\/p>\n

Digital Economy Minister Kate Forbes attended events throughout the week, including the College Cyber Security conference and the National Cyber Security Centre, to underline the importance of cyber reslience and cyber security and to celebrate Scotland’s digital capabilities and future ambition in the cyber sector.<\/p>\n

\u00a324 million heating district opened<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scotland\u2019s Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse has officially opened Glenrothes’ new district heating network.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Supported by \u00a38.6 million investment from the Scottish Government\u2019s Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme<\/a>, the \u00a324 million collaborative project between Fife Council and RWE has been delivered on time and on budget.<\/p>\n

The new network, constructed in central Glenrothes, will provide low carbon heating to Fife House complex, Rothes Halls and the sheltered housing complex at Jubilee Grove by using the steam from the RWE biomass CHP plant at Markinch.<\/p>\n

Building Scotland Fund<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A \u00a32.18 million Scottish Government loan will help speculatively develop 40,000 square feet of new industrial and trade counter accommodation at Livingston Trade Park, leading to further business investment and jobs in West Lothian.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Investment Minister\u00a0 Ivan McKee <\/s>visited the site at Houston Industrial Estate, due for completion in October, to announce the funding.<\/p>\n

Improved air routes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The next contract to operate the Scottish Government-supported air routes from Glasgow to Barra, Tiree and Campbeltown will give local communities more control over the services.<\/p>\n

It includes new measures which will see little used services from Barra and Tiree removed from schedules to create a bank of rotations which can be deployed at the discretion of local communities.<\/p>\n
