Increased approximate Gross Value Added (aGVA) was shown in the creative industries sector (11.1%), the food and drink sector (6.3%) and the tourism sector (6.0%).<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the statistics, Economy Secretary Derek Mackay said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScotland\u2019s growth sectors are hugely important to our economy so it is fantastic to see them generally performing well. This includes tourism, food and drink and the creative industries which have all had an incredibly successful year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs industries that showcase the very best of Scotland, these are sectors that we should be rightly proud of \u2013 both in their significant contribution to our economy as well as in their impact on communities right across the country.
