Bute Growth Deal funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Infrastructure Secretary Michael Matheson said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe UK Government is simply re-announcing money that has already been committed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Scottish Government has made clear our commitment to invest in the Argyll &amp; Bute Growth Deal, and we have been ready to do so for some considerable time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the basis of our 50:50 approach to funding growth deals, we will of course match the \u00a325 million announced by the UK Government \u2013 adding to the \u00a31.8 billion we have committed to City and Growth Deals, and associated regional investments, across Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to help our Argyll &amp; Bute partners develop and refine the projects they think will have the transformative effect on the local economy that we all want to see.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will announce a Heads of Terms agreement shortly, which will outline the projects that will be supported by this joint investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UK Government announced its \u00a3300 million overall remaining growth deal spend, including Argyll &amp;
