\"yes_to_growth\"<\/a>This week we launched a new campaign, \u2018Yes to Growth\u2019, to stimulate Scottish companies to invest in their growth. If a company has an idea or project that will help it grow, we want to hear about it and positively help make growth a reality.<\/p>\n

We know that many companies are putting off their investment plans because of the current economic conditions. To help get Scotland\u2019s economy moving again, we need to encourage more companies to recognise the benefits of investing in their growth now.<\/p>\n

Along with our partners, we want to make sure companies get the support that\u2019s best suited to their needs, when they need it most. And we want businesses to be positive about their growth, to feel confident about making growth investment now.<\/p>\n

Far too often we only hear, or only remember, the negative business stories. The reality is that companies across Scotland are making great things happen \u2013 every single day.<\/p>\n

Over the next couple of months, as part of our campaign, we will be talking up the good news about companies who are already investing in their growth and demonstrating the positive impact this had on their business.<\/p>\n

We want to ensure this positive news gets out to as wide a business audience as possible and helps to influence other companies to make a positive decision on their growth.<\/p>\n

But we can\u2019t do this alone. We need as many people and organisations as possible to be positive about growth too. So we\u2019ve been talking to our partners in the public and private sector, making sure they can play their part in the campaign and ensuring we really are joined up in supporting Scotland\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m delighted that CBI Scotland, IoD Scotland and the Scottish Chambers of Commerce are actively endorsing our approach and I\u2019m sure many of their member companies will put forward their ideas for growth. This gives us extra routes to reach businesses that might not know what we can collectively offer.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re delivering the campaign in partnership with Business Gateway, as well as working with colleagues in Skills Development Scotland, VisitScotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. So there\u2019s a wealth of expertise across different business areas accessible in one place.<\/p>\n

What I believe is the most important aspect of this partnership approach is that we have implemented a true \u2018no wrong door\u2019 policy. Regardless of which organisation companies approach for support, we can put them in touch with someone who can help.<\/p>\n
