This publication contains information on the numbers of workers, staff sickness rates, and the diversity of staff over the past seven years.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of March 2019, there were 6,402 FTE directly employed staff, an increase from last year\u2019s figure of 5,648.<\/p>\n<p>The number of contingent (non-directly employed) workers, increased from 1,249 at the end of March 2018, to 1,344 at the end of March 2019, an 8 per cent increase.<\/p>\n<p>The staff sickness level was 7.6 average working days lost (AWDL) per staff year in the 12 month period ending March 2019 (3.4 per cent of working days were lost).
