Information on how data that is collected through the survey is used is provided in our Privacy Notice, which is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/hace\">http:\/\/www.gov.scot\/hace<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why is the survey needed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The survey has been run every two years since 2009 and results provide a national and local picture of the quality of these health and care services from the perspective of those using them. National results and local breakdowns are provided to local health care services, including GP practices, throughout Scotland. The survey results inform these services about people&#8217;s experiences, helping to highlight areas of best practice and areas for improvement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Previous Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over 130,000 people across Scotland responded to the last survey.
