Registration is now open for the NHSScotland Event 2015, which will take place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow on 23 and 24 June.‬ This year’s event theme is Leading Integration for Quality.

With the implementation of the new legislation to integrate health and social care currently underway, this year’s Event will provide delegates with the opportunity to recognise the importance of health and care services working together and with those who use services, to understand what matters most in their lives, and to build support around achieving the outcomes that are important to them.

‪‬‪The Event will showcase and highlight some of the most powerful examples of how quality is being taken forward in the newly emerging integration landscape, with a focus, not just on health and social care integration, but on integration across the healthcare system itself.‬‬‬‬‬

What is the Evidence for Integration?

A session entitled ‘What is the Evidence for Integration’ which will examine what the UK evidence base tells us about how we can achieve better outcomes through integration in Scotland will run on each day.

Richard Humphries, Assistant Director (Policy) from the King’s Fund will share the latest evidence on using integrated care to improve outcomes and will facilitate a discussion around how best to apply the lessons learned from the evidence to secure those outcomes.

Delegates will hear about improving people’s care and outcomes through integration and will be challenged about how that learning should influence our thinking in Scotland. The session will identify lessons for leaders and care providers and examine what successful integration should look like in Scotland in order to begin to evaluate whether or not it is working.

‪Now in its tenth year, the NHSScotland Event has gone from strength to strength and brings together over 1,500 health and care leaders, key decision-makers and frontline staff from across NHSScotland and its partners and provides them with the opportunity to listen, learn and participate in crucial dialogue about the future of health and care in Scotland.‬‬‬
