NHSScotland Event 2015: The Integration Hub

July 22, 2015 by No Comments | Category Uncategorized

Our exhibition stand at the “Leading Integration for Quality” NHSScotland Event 2015 provided delegates with the opportunity to find out more about health and social care integration. Designed to replicate a homely setting, the hub provided a comfortable space for delegates to join the conversation about integration and to partake in the range of activities on offer at the stand.

The hub featured a mini-cinema area which showcased a reel of digital stories of service users talking about their personal experiences of the health and social care and support. Watch the videos on our Vimeo channel.

Our activity wall captured a range of delegate views and opinions about integration over the course of the two days.

Nichola Docherty, a Community Psychiatric staff nurse working in the north east community for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, came by our stand for a chat and said: “I visited the integration hub on several occasions during the event, firstly to read the activity wall which hosted comments from professionals from various backgrounds. This was a wonderful method of gathering people’s thoughts from the day, and for the future. The hub facilitated a warm environment for those who spoke to do so openly, honestly and from a very personal perspective”.

We were extremely lucky to have a number of scheduled guests join us at our “On the Couch” sessions over the course of the two days; all of those who spoke gave inspirational and honest accounts of their personal experiences of health and social care integration. Find out more about our “On the Couch” sessions here.

We were also joined by representatives of the (Anne Rowling) Research Regenerative Neurology Clinic at the ERI, Edinburgh. They spoke to delegates about their pioneering work in creating personalised synthetic voices for people who can no longer use their own voices.
