Health and Social Care Partners Group Formed
September 22, 2015 by Linda White No Comments | Category Uncategorized
The new Health and Social Care Partners Group replaces the successfully concluded Integration Implementation Group and the Health and Social Community Care Delivery Group.
Membership of the new group brings together that of the two successfully concluded groups, including representatives of the health and social care professions, Clinicians, GPs, carers and service users and senior officers of the NHS, local government, the third and independent sectors, COSLA and the Scottish Government.
The group will support the Health and Social Care Integration agenda acting as a conduit to bring together local issues and actions from a national perspective. It will not carry out an executive decision making role (nor will it be performance monitoring) but will have an important advisory role, and provide an area for inclusive discussion to support improvements in outcomes. It will feed into the Ministerial Strategic Group and, where appropriate, COSLA leaders and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Management Board in its role.
The group will provide the external facing interface for the Transformational Change Programme Board, particularly in relation to the National Conversation. The aim of the Programme Board is to bring coherence to the wide range of reforms across the Health and Social Care systems.
