December 12, 2019 by Ray Knox No Comments | Category National Performance Framework, Scottish Procurement
In November 2019 our Head of Procurement and Commercial Policy, Nikki Archer, met with procurement professionals from across the EU at a European Competency Framework launch event in Brussels.
With our own National Procurement Competency Framework sitting at the very heart of the work we do here in Scotland, Nikki was invited to sit on the European Commission’s Advisory Group to support the development of the European-wide framework.
At the launch event, Nikki was asked to talk about how Scotland have placed capability development at the centre of their work, ensuring that we use public procurement to deliver the best outcomes for Scotland.
The day covered a range of interesting topics and speakers including:
- The European Competency Framework Matrix
- The self-assessment tool
- The generic training curriculum
- Training and recruitment
You can watch a video of the days sessions on the European Commission website. Nikki’s presentation runs between 10:38 and 10:52.
