In a time of unprecedented demand for ICT products and services, we commend our suppliers for working hard to meet customer demand and operating more sustainably.
We were pleased to see one of our Office Equipment framework suppliers, Capital Document Solutions, gain recognition at this year’s VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards. Capital Document Solutions are a Scottish SME who have been a successful supplier on our collaborative Office Equipment framework since 2009. They were recognised for their commitment to recycling and sustainability.
The awards are a partnership between a number of Scottish public sector bodies including:
- Scottish Government
- Scottish Environment Protection Agency
- Energy Saving Trust
- Scottish Enterprise
- Zero Waste Scotland
The aim is to improve environmental performance through the efficient use of resources. The VIBES Awards have published a Good Practice Case Study highlighting Capital Document Solutions as a great example of the Circular Economy in action and how they have provided essential support for clients during the COVID-19 crisis.
Our Office Equipment framework provides a wide range of products ranging from small single function desktop printers to large print room high volume products. It is available for use by all Scottish public and third sector bodies and will maximise financial benefit and provide excellent service levels for all organisations that use it.
Our ICT Products Team have introduced Sustainability Balanced Scorecards to our frameworks to help identify our suppliers’ environmental initiatives and all of our framework devices meet or exceed the minimum Energy Star efficiency standards.
Suppliers are also committed to extending the useful life of devices while ensuring compliance with Waste Electrical and Electronic Directives and data security requirements.
