Supporting suppliers across Scotland to grow their businesses

Good for Businesses and their Employees is one of our four outcomes for public procurement in Scotland. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing a range of communications focussing on supplier engagement.
We’ll be sharing video case studies of rurally based SMEs, highlighting that businesses of all shapes and sizes, no matter where they are based in Scotland, can win public sector contracts, which in turn has seen them flourish and go on to deliver positive outcomes for their local communities.
In November we’ll be taking part in #LivingWageWeek 2022, highlighting suppliers committed to paying the real Living Wage and delivering Fair Work First packages in their public sector contracts.
We’ll also be using our social media channels to regularly share other tools and guidance that are available for suppliers, including the Supplier Journey and Public Contracts Scotland.
Finally, we’ll be highlighting training opportunities from the Supplier Development Programme. Their offering covers a range of virtual sessions tailored for businesses at every stage their public sector journey – from those just starting out looking to discover how to begin bidding for contracts, to those well-established on their journeys looking to find new public sector customers or improve their tendering technique.
