New ‘Security and Crime guidance’ on the Sustainable Procurement Tools
August 9, 2023 by Fiona McCaig No Comments | Category Scottish Procurement, Sustainability
Updated Security and Crime guidance is now live on the Sustainable Procurement Tools website. This guidance relates to the procurement of products, services or works, where there may be risks regarding security and crime, including Serious Organised Crime (SOC) and Cybercrime.
The sustainability test indicator for security and crime has been revised to make it clearer with a more streamlined assessment. The revised guidance reflects this change.
This resource provides relevant procurement guidance, aligned with the Procurement Journey. It also contains an Annex of example contract clauses and key performance indicators.
New, more user-friendly formatting means users can navigate easily between sections and can download the full guide into a Word document. This can be printed and shared with relevant stakeholders.
The guidance compliments Worker Conditions Guidance – which is concerned with human rights, working conditions and worker exploitation in the supply chain. These matters may be considered alongside one another.
