Updated Scottish Government Procurement Strategy 2025 – 2028
March 31, 2025 by Teigan Kelly No Comments | Category Procurement news, Scottish Procurement
Today marks the publication of the updated Scottish Government Procurement Strategy 2025-2028.
It is closely aligned with the road map and vision for public procurement as laid out within the Public Procurement Strategy for Scotland and sets out how we will deliver on our priorities and maximise the impact of our procurement spend.
Every year we award contracts for a range of goods, services and works and through these, help to deliver efficient and effective public services. This strategy sets out how we are shaping public procurement through our policies, practices, capability and toolsets, while leading and influencing across the public sector landscape to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people of Scotland.
Procurement officers, delegated purchasing officers and those involved in Scottish Government procurement and commissioning cycles should familiarise themselves with the procurement strategy and consider how their procurement exercises may help to support and deliver against the strategy.
