One month to go until Meet the Buyer North!

The countdown is on – just one month to go until the Supplier Development Programme’s eighth annual Meet the Buyer North event, which will take place on Wednesday 10 September, at The Music Hall in Aberdeen.

This free networking event connects suppliers with public and private sector buyers, to help them discover upcoming contracts and opportunities in the North of Scotland.

Partnered by the Scottish Government, Scotland Excel and the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services, Meet the Buyer North allows suppliers to introduce their business to decision makers from across the region, all under one roof.

This free event brings together a wide range of public sector buyers from across the North of Scotland and beyond. Confirmed public sector exhibitors include Crown Commercial Service, Historic Environment Scotland, Police Scotland, Public Contracts Scotland, and Transport Scotland.

Suppliers can also engage directly with NHS procurement teams, at The ‘Health Zone’, sponsored by NHS National Services Scotland. This Zone will play host to representatives from NHS National Services Scotland, NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, and NHS Tayside, who will be in attendance to discuss their upcoming pipeline of work.

In addition to public sector buyers, a number of private sector organisations will also be on hand to discuss supply chain opportunities and future projects in the region. Confirmed exhibitors include Acrow Bridge, Balfour Beatty Construction, Carbon-Zero, hub North Scotland, Murphy, Ogilvie Construction, Robertson Facilities Management, and more…

Throughout the day, suppliers will have the opportunity to listen to presentations from the likes of Supplier Development Programme, Scottish Government, and the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services (which includes Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and the Highland Councils), who will be sharing best-practice procurement tips.

SDP’s Meet the Buyer events are designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as social enterprises, but businesses of all sizes are welcome to attend.
