Joint Warrior Exercise – 25 March and 11 April 2014

March 28, 2014 by No Comments | Category Collaborations, Fisheries, Marine Directorate general

Every six months, the Ministry of Defence undertakes a major programme of exercises involving land forces, warships, submarines and aircraft from all the NATO partners, across the UK. An important maritime element of Joint Warrior takes place in the offshore and coastal waters to the north east, north and north west of Scotland, which is the only location with suitable topography and combination of shallow inshore and deep offshore waters and a sparse population.

The next exercise, Joint Warrior 141, will take place between 25 March and 11 April 2014, mostly near Cape Wrath and down the west coast of Scotland.
